You can make money with PLR, but only if you understand that you will have to put in some work. Here is what you will have to do.
It is a well known fact that most buyers of PLR never get to exploit the power of PLR. This is because nobody really tells them exactly what they need to do.
Many sellers of PLR focus their efforts on producing and selling their products that they don't have the time or the inclination to offer training for you the buyer.
I hate to say this but PLR buyers can be lazy, they know that using PLR makes it easier to start an online business selling digital products, but in order to make money with PLR you have still got to put in the hard work.
How many times have you bought a PLR bundle and not used it?
Have you thought that this piece of PLR is the answer to your money making dreams then never even get round to unzipping the file after you have downloaded it?
Then you see another great sales letter for yet more ways to make money with PLR, so you buy that, then spend even more on the upgrades.
This vicious circle keeps on going round and round and your hard drive becomes a graveyard for unwanted and forgotten content and your bank balance is slowly emptied.
It might seem like I am stating the obvious here, but you must sell something before you can make money with PLR.
You have to unzip that bundle and use the contents in such a way that every piece can generate sales.
PLR makes it easier for you to create content in different formats and you have to use that content, either directly or indirectly, to Make A Sale.
All of the PLR you have bought, including the source files, can be repurposed in so many ways in order to generate traffic and make sales.
I have chosen 5 ways to turn your PLR content into cash in the bank.
You will have seen these methods highlighted on the sales page and I have touched on them above, but they are not always applied.
Let's take a closer look.
1. Compile a several different articles on the same topic into an eBook.
If your goal is to sell a book online but you don't want to write one from scratch, then try combining a number of articles and putting them together in one book.
Aim for a total of 8,000 to 10,000 words for a decent eBook. Most PLR articles that you buy are around 500 to 800 words long so you will need at least 15 good articles to create your book.
This takes time and effort to make sure you are choosing articles that cover different topics and points within your chosen niche. The book must be informative and easy to read.
Make sure that you smooth it all out so that it doesn't appear to be just a series of disjointed and random articles.
Do this successfully and you will have an eBook that is unique to you.
Another good technique here is to take the sales page that came with your package to sell your newly compiled eBook. Tweak the title and create new graphics so that your digital product is completely different from all that "cookie cutter" content out there.
You can now sell it on a platform like Clickbank or JvZoo with confidence.
2. Use them as guest posts.
This method of using your PLR content is always one that is mentioned quite a lot.
Basically, you will approach popular blogs/sites in your niche and ask the site owners if they are willing to publish an article or two from you. All you are asking for in return is a link back to your site.
This will have a snowball effect. It takes a while for the snowball to get rolling, but once it starts it will gather more and more visitors over time, all looking for the information you have to offer.
The downside to this is that the site owners will definitely want unpublished, unique content. You must use the PLR as the base research and enhance it with your own personality.
It is still one of the best ways to make money with PLR over time and once established can provide ongoing income for you.
3. Break the article up for email content.
If you have an email list (and you should be building one), using little bits of PLR articles in your emails will help you to grow your business.
You emails should be both informative and engaging and you should always add a link encouraging your readers to click on it for more information.
This link can either take them to your sales page for one of your products or to a blog post with your affiliate links embedded in it. See next tip.
4. Monetized blog posts.
These are posts that contain a link to one of your own products or to an affiliate whose products you are promoting. Or even something as simple as a blog post that features advertisements such as Google Adsense.
The whole idea of using PLR in blog posts is to make money, it must have a purpose. Even if that particular post is just for information, it should contain links to other posts on your site which are monetized.
This keeps your visitor interested, it makes your site "sticky". The longer your visitor stays, the more likely you are to make a sale.
5. Paid newsletters.
A paid newsletter is not only a recurring source of income, but as well as promoting your own products, if you add in some affiliate links you can make passive sales too.
You can easily put together a newsletter which has anywhere from 5 to 10 pages of content by using your PLR..
If you keep your price around the $7 to $10 mark, your subscribers will look upon this membership as a small expense and be less likely to cancel.
This all starts with a plan, and then putting that plan into action.
The PLR buyer who uses their content to the max is the one who will make money with PLR, not the one who just keeps buying more and more and using it poorly.
Now that you understand how to use PLR to make money for your online business there is nothing stopping you from succeeding, the possibilities are endless.
